Media personality , popularly known as Toolz, has doubled down on her views about the role of in-laws in relationships following reactions to her statement on ‘The Morayo Show’.
Addressing the statement on her page, Toolz made it clear she has no regrets about what she said.
“I’ve seen the different takes on what I said on @themorayoshow and I still fully stand by it”, she said.
According to her, while it may not be necessary for a partner’s parents to love their child’s significant other, mutual respect is essential for a healthy relationship.
“I genuinely believe it’s important that your partner’s parents like you. Or at the very least, respect you”, she stated.
She added that when in-laws fail to respect a relationship, it often places unnecessary pressure on couples and can even create distance between partners and their families.
Toolz concluded by saying, “Peace between your partner and their parents is a blessing. And when that peace extends to you as well, it makes life so much easier for everyone involved… Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.”
