Nollywood actress Nkiru Sylvanus’ husband, Riches Sammy, has warned that he will take legal action against people saying false narratives about their marriage.
His warning follows reactions to a video of the actress from a movie set, which surfaced online on July 9.
As fans expressed concern over her appearance, others alleged that marriage had negatively affected her looks.
Responding in an Instagram video on Wednesday, Sammy dismissed the claims, insisting that the image circulating online does not reflect his wife’s true appearance.
He said he could ignore the photo and the comments surrounding it, but would not accept false or defamatory statements about their marriage.
He said: “A picture that does not represent what my wife looks like has been circulating online recently, I might choose to overlook that and all the comments being made. But what I will not tolerate is someone making a derogatory or misleading caption about my marriage. I will take a legal action, so be warned.”
Nkiru Sylvanus herself has yet to address the controversy publicly.
The actress and Riches Sammy tied the knot in January 2023.
Their traditional wedding took place on January 12 in Osisioma, Abia State, followed by a church ceremony on January 15 in Enugu State.
The couple kept their relationship away from the public until they announced their wedding.
