Destiny Etiko says she’s not giving betting another chance after losing N5 million during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
The actress had put her money on Argentina to beat Spain, but things didn’t go the way she expected, and the experience was enough to make her swear it off completely.
For Etiko, it wasn’t just about seeing her prediction fail. The tension of following the match from start to finish also took its toll, leaving her feeling completely drained by the end of the game.
Sharing how the experience left her feeling, she wrote:
“First time betting and I lost 💔😭
Will never try it again
In fact am done watching football
Anxiety almost killed me 💔”.
From her post, it seems the emotional stress hit just as hard as the financial loss. While football fans are already looking ahead to the next big tournament, Etiko says she’s stepping away from both betting and watching the game, insisting that one experience was enough for her.
