Burna Boy made history as the first Nigerian to perform at a FIFA World Cup final halftime show, sharing the stage with Shakira during their performance of the tournament’s official anthem, Dai Dai.
Reacting to the accomplishment, Tacha wrote, “Burna Boy is not a Nigerian artist; he’s a global artist who happens to come from Nigeria.”
In another post, she urged critics to show the singer more respect, writing: “You all should be careful the way you call Burna Boy’s name on this app. Before you call his name, make sure you have baff and brush, and you’re wearing all white before you call Burna Boy’s name. That guy is not anybody’s mate.”
