Chelsea have completed the signing of England forward Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, with the 23-year-old putting pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2033
The Blues confirmed the transfer on Tuesday, revealing that Rogers will join Xabi Alonso’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Reacting to the move, the England international said he was thrilled to become a Chelsea player.
“I’m so excited. For me, Chelsea are the biggest club in London and a club I’ve always admired since I was a kid,” Rogers said.
“I’m really excited about the project with the new manager, the players we’ve got and where the club is heading. That’s why I’m here and I can’t wait to get started.”
Rogers joins Chelsea after an impressive spell at Aston Villa, where he emerged as one of the Premier League’s standout young attackers.
During his time at Villa Park, he was directly involved in 40 league goals across 85 Premier League appearances, helping the club qualify for the top four before lifting the UEFA Europa League last season.
The forward has also become an important player for England since making his senior debut in November 2024. He has won 22 caps for the Three Lions and featured for his country at this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
Chelsea believe Rogers’ arrival will strengthen their attacking department as Alonso prepares his squad for the upcoming season.
