South African music star Tyla has opened up about her views on today’s dating culture, claiming that many men have become “divas” and are hesitant to express their feelings
During a fun conversation, the singer joked that navigating relationships has become more challenging because of the way many men behave.
“Guys these days… Divas. Bedazzled divas,” she remarked, while another participant responded, “They’re divas!”
Asked whether she preferred a man who played it cool or one who openly expressed interest, Tyla said the best approach is finding the right middle ground.
“There just needs to be a balance. Like, you need to know when to be nonchalant and when to be chalant.”
The conversation later shifted to the topic of “simping,” with Tyla suggesting that some men now hold back their affection because they worry about how others will perceive them.
“I just think like guys don’t want to be simps anymore.
It’s kind of emb@rrassing now.”
One of the men in the discussion, however, said he had no issue being a simp, prompting Tyla to encourage men to be open about their emotions.
“Own it. If you love your woman, own it.”
