Peter Okoye has fired back at an X user who criticised him over claims that his children do not speak their native Nigerian language.
Replying to the comment, the singer questioned why anyone would be so concerned about how he is raising his children when Nigeria is facing bigger challenges.
“With everything going on in Nigeria, your biggest concern is whether my children speak Nigerian languages?” he wrote.
Peter said every parent has the right to decide how to raise their children and insisted that his family’s choices are nobody else’s business.
“When it’s your turn, teach your own kids all the languages in Nigeria if that’s your choice. As for me and my family, we’re good. Go and find another place to pour your frustration,” he added.
He also asked what anyone stood to gain if his children spoke Nigerian languages, writing:
“What exactly do you stand to gain if my children speak Nigerian languages? How does that improve your life?”
Peter ended his response by telling them to “MYB” (Mind Your Business), adding, “Cry harder.”
