President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered security agencies to immediately begin efforts to identify and apprehend the a.ttackers responsible for the k!lling of 30 people and the burning of homes in Naridon Village, Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The President’s directive was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu condemned the a.ttack, describing it as a “barbaric and cowardly” act against innocent residents. He described the incident as an unprovoked assault on defenceless citizens and warned that those attempting to disrupt the peace recently experienced in Kaduna State would be brought to justice.
The President expressed sympathy to the families of the victims, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and the people of the state, assuring affected communities that the Federal Government stands with them during the difficult period.
He said security forces have been instructed to intensify operations in the affected areas, track down the perpetrators, and restore stability.
“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region.
“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation.”
Tinubu also urged residents to support security agencies by providing useful information that could assist investigations and enable quicker responses to security threats.
