Uchenna Nnanna has shared the painful story of the road accident that nearly ended her life, opening up about one of the most frightening experiences she has ever faced.
Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the actress looked back on the crash, which happened in 2013, describing it as the first major accident she had ever been involved in.
She said the injuries were so severe that doctors had to work tirelessly to stabilize her, and she spent weeks receiving treatment in the hospital.
Recalling that difficult period, she said:
“2013 was the first accident I ever had. The accident that almost took my life. It was on a Monday, and they had to put me on oxygen because I was almost going. They put oxygen on me to try to revive me, put drips; they were doing a whole lot. I was in the hospital for three weeks”.
The actress also spoke about another fear she has had to live with over the years. She revealed that losing her sisters left her deeply afraid of flying, making it difficult for her to get on a plane again for a long time.
In her words:
“I have a phobia of flights. It took me years to start flying again after I lost my sisters”.
Despite everything she has been through, Nnanna said her mother’s words have remained a source of comfort whenever life becomes overwhelming.
“When things are difficult, my mother would always say Mother Mary, would you allow my wine to finish”, she shared.
