For many people, turning 30 comes with questions about when to settle down. Falz, however, believes there is far too much pressure around that milestone.
While speaking on a recent podcast, the rapper said getting married before 30 shouldn’t be something people feel pushed into.
In his view, your 20s are a time to discover who you are, make mistakes, learn from them and enjoy the journey, rather than rushing into a lifelong commitment.
According to him, “Getting married in your 30s is the best. Don’t let anyone pressure you into getting married before 30. By your 30s, you have gained more life experiences. In your 20s, you are still figuring yourself out.
“Your 20s are for learning, growing, and enjoying life. In your 30s, you combine all the knowledge and try to direct your life. So, it is better to wait till your 30s before getting married.”
For Falz, those extra years are about building a better understanding of yourself and the direction you want your life to take before making one of life’s biggest decisions.
