Tiger Woods is barred from driving for five years and paid a $1,000 fine following his March DUI arrest, a judge determined

After the golfer, 50, changed his plea in the case from not guilty to no contest for lesser charges during his Martin County, Fla. court hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 1, Judge Darren Steele issued the license suspension and fine, according to court records obtained by PEOPLE.

As part of his plea deal, the state amended one of Woods’ charges to Local 1 reckless driving and the second charge was amended to a careless driving citation, per the court records.

Woods, who arrived in court on Wednesday with his girlfriend Vanessa Trump, immediately paid the fine, according to court records.

The five-time Masters winner initially pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge following his arrest. However, on Tuesday, Sept. 1, his attorney, Doug Duncan, filed a motion with the Martin County circuit court to change his plea, according to court records viewed by PEOPLE.

Woods was arrested on March 27 near his home in Jupiter Island, Fla., after his Land Rover rolled over when he “overtook” a truck carrying a pressure-cleaning trailer, according to an arrest affidavit previously obtained by PEOPLE.
