Actress Uche Ogbodo has taken a moment to reflect on a wedding she once imagined for herself.
She shared a photo of herself dressed in a wedding gown, along with a deeply personal caption about the plans, hopes and future she once pictured.
Taking to her page to reflect, she wrote:
“The wedding I never had. 🤍
“Sometimes, we grieve not just what happened, but what we imagined would happen. The dress, the vows, the celebration, the forever we thought we were building.
“Life didn’t go exactly as I imagined but I’m learning that the story isn’t over. Maybe the wedding I never had was simply making room for a life I never knew I deserved.”
Her words touch on the quieter kind of loss that comes with letting go of a future you once thought was certain, while still finding the strength to believe that something different can be just as meaningful.
