Life after Big Brother can be much harder than it looks from the outside.
For former BBNaija housemate Kess, leaving the reality show does not mean the difficult part is over. In fact, he believes the real challenge can begin once the cameras are gone and contestants have to return to everyday life.
Kess spoke about this while reflecting on former housemate Danboskid’s recent emotional disclosure about some of the personal struggles he has been dealing with since leaving the show.
“Big Brother makes your life harder.
Winner or not, the moment you leave that house, you’re dealing with a version of life that is far more complicated than the one you left behind…”
His point is that the experience does not simply end when a housemate walks out of the Big Brother house. There is the pressure of adjusting to normal life again, managing expectations and figuring out what comes next after being watched and discussed by millions of people.
For some former housemates, that transition can be especially difficult. The attention may fade, opportunities may not come as expected, and life outside the show can feel very different from the excitement that surrounded them while they were in the house.
