Pastor Tobi Adegboyega said SPAC Nation deliberately exposed its members to nice places, expensive cars and hotels to give them confidence and help them avoid being easily influenced by people who could offer them that lifestyle.
He said the approach was especially important for young women, so they would not feel the need to idolise celebrities or follow wealthy men simply because they wanted access to experiences they had never had.
In a post he shared, he said:
“What I did with SPAC Nation members is that we exposed them to nice places, nice cars and hotels. So a girl child will not be carried away with all of these things. You will not idolise a rapper or a footballer and lose your principles because your leader already took you there.
“SPAC Nation goes to where 0.001% have access to. I’ll make a female member talk to the chairman of Rosewood Hotel, so that if you do something, it’s because you want to do it, not that a guy made you feel like you will never experience this without him.
“We did churches, lunch, the feeding programmes in expensive places on purpose. So now again, the girl child has confidence. She’s not going to be following a big man around”.
