Solomon Buchi slams Ife Agoro over Lindsay Clancy’s case

Social commentator Solomon Buchi has criticised entrepreneur Ife Agoro over her comments about Lindsay Clancy, the Massachusetts mother accused of k!ll!ng her three children.

Agoro focused on Clancy’s reported postpartum mental health struggles and the need for compassion towards mothers dealing with severe mental illness.

Buchi disagreed with her position, arguing that Clancy’s mental health should not take attention away from the three children who d!ed.

In a post he shared, he said:

“You have made yourself look like a hypocrite by trying to defend her”.

He also questioned the portrayal of Clancy’s husband, Patrick, pointing out that he reportedly took paternity leave, worked from home and arranged additional help while supporting his wife.

Buchi further distinguished between postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis, saying the two conditions should not be treated as the same.

He said his sympathy remained with the three children, adding that mental illness can be understood without ignoring the harm suffered by the victims.

Lindsay Clancy was accused of k!ll!ng her three children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, in January 2023 before attempting to take her own life. Her defence argued that she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis, while prosecutors maintained that she was criminally responsible.

Her trial ended in a mistrial on September 4, 2026, after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. Clancy remains in a psychiatric facility, and prosecutors have yet to decide whether to retry the case. A further hearing is scheduled for September 29.
