The Vice Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has asked the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to quit his 2027 presidential ambition and support the NDC
Kwankwaso made this appeal on Thursday while receiving members of the Fulani Farmers Association at his Abuja residence.
He asked Atiku to step down for the NDC ticket, pledging that he would be taken care of if the party wins the presidency.
“Step down for us; if we win, we will take care of you,” Kwankwaso said.
This came following persistent efforts by opposition politicians to unite against President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general election.
