Daddy Freeze has reacted to the Hermès bag carried by Peter Obi’s wife as she continues to face criticism online over the expensive bag, saying he has no problem with her carrying a luxury bag.
According to him, Peter Obi was already a billionaire before he came into government, so the cost of the bag is not his concern.
His concern, however, is Peter Obi’s claim that he owns only one shoe and one watch, especially when there are expensive things around him.
In a post he shared, he said:
“I have no problem with Peter Obi’s wife carrying a luxury bag; her husband is a billionaire. He was before he came into government. The only problem I have with him is he says he only has one shoe and one watch, but when you put yourself in a certain light, and things around you don’t seem to add to that light, there is a problem. He (Peter Obi) is honest and humble, but are people around him as prudent as he is?”.
The criticism comes largely because of the simple lifestyle Peter Obi has been known to project, especially as he prepares for another presidential run in 2027. His supporters often point to his modest appearance and his repeated comments about living simply, which has made the sight of his wife with a Hermès bag worth hundreds of thousands of dollars a subject of discussion.
