Peter Obi’s wife continues to attract criticism online after she was seen carrying a Hermès bag reportedly worth £131,938.81.
The expensive bag has also given Lere Olayinka, an aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, a reason to take a swipe at Peter Obi and the modest image associated with the 2027 presidential candidate.
In a post, Lere said:
“Wife of His Holiness, St Peteru Obi, a very modest politician, who does not give Shishi, showing the modesty of her husband with a £131,938.81 (over N250m) Hermes Bag. Reason he does not want his wife to appear in public with him. Make his lies of I HAVE ONLY ONE WRIST WATCH no come cast.”
The criticism comes as Obi, who is expected to contest the 2027 presidential election, continues to be known for presenting himself as a politician who values a simple and prudent lifestyle.
