Why Tomama believes parents should know what their daughters go through
Comedianne Tomama has explained why some parents keep asking their daughters about marriage, saying it may be because they don’t really know what is happening in their relationships

Comedienne Tomama has criticised the tendency to label women as prostitutes simply because people cannot explain how they make their money.

His comments followed content creator Mummy Wa saying on a podcast that many women in the entertainment industry are involved in prost!tution.

Tomama said some people are too quick to assume that a woman is into prost!tution whenever they cannot identify her source of income.

She argued that there are several other crimes women could be involved in, including financial crimes and drug-related offences.

In a post she shared, she said:

“Once some of you can’t figure out a woman’s source of income, you automatically assume she’s into prost!tution. what many of you don’t know is that many women are into money laundering, fr.aud, d.rug tra.fficking, k!dnapping, etc. many big shops in lekki are owned by women involved in some of these crimes and you won’t even know.”

Tomama also described the assumption that women with expensive lifestyles must be involved in prost!tution as misplaced, pointing out that cr!minal activity can take different forms and should not automatically be reduced to prost!tution.
