Social media personality Miss Goldilocks has questioned why some Nigerians are paying attention to the price of a handbag belonging to Peter Obi’s wife while the country continues to deal with rising living costs.
She said the focus should instead be on the economic difficulties Nigerians are facing, particularly the high cost of fuel, which she said is currently selling for as much as ₦1,450.
According to her, Obi has accumulated his wealth over the years and has also spent time supporting schools and hospitals in different parts of the country.
In a post she shared, she said:
“Of all the problems Nigerians are facing under this government, fuel is currently ₦1,450, yet some Nigerians are only focused on the price of Mr Peter Obi’s wife’s handbag. He is a billionaire and has built his wealth over the years.
“When Peter Obi was travelling from one state to another, donating ₦20 million, ₦15 million and ₦10 million to schools and hospitals across the country, none of you spoke about it.”
