Carter Efe says Davido has asked him to stop insulting Wizkid, according to the Nigerian streamer and content creator.
Carter Efe said Davido personally sent him a message about the matter, while also addressing claims that the singer was behind his repeated comments about Wizkid.
During a livestream, he said:
“Davido texted me and told me never to insult Wizkid again. People think he’s the one sending me to insult Wizkid”.
Carter Efe has been taking shots at Wizkid for some time, with much of the issue going back to ‘Machala’, the 2022 song he released with Berri Tiga as a tribute to Wizkid.
The song became a major success after its release and reached No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria. Carter Efe has since argued that he and Wizkid shared the glory from the song and questioned why Wizkid did not acknowledge his contribution.
He has also accused Wizkid of failing to recognise him despite the success of the song, a situation that has contributed to his continued criticism of the singer.
In his recent comments, Carter Efe went as far as challenging Wizkid to a boxing match, saying they should settle their differences in the ring.
