Deza The Great loses $2,500 to FAKE FRSC SMS fine

Nollywood actor Deza The Great has shared how he lost money after receiving what appeared to be a genuine message from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)

According to the actor, he received an SMS claiming that he had exceeded the speed limit and was required to pay a ₦2,500 fine. Believing the message was legitimate, he followed the instructions and entered his card details.

He later discovered that $2,500 had been taken from his account.

In a post he shared, he said:

“I received an SMS yesterday saying I had exceeded the speed limit and that my fine was ₦2,500. I thought it was a genuine upgrade from the Federal Road Safety Corps. After entering my card details, $2,500 disappeared from my account.”
