Nollywood filmmaker Stanley Ontop has defended crew member known as Queen Esther Udeh after she alleged that actress Destiny Etiko thr.eatened her over comments she made about their time working together.
Queen Esther had earlier alleged that Destiny sl.apped her and smashed her phone after she tried to take the actress’s picture on se which is part of her responsibilities as a crew member.
She later claimed that Destiny sent her a thr.eatening DM following the interview.
Reacting to the situation, Stanley said Queen Esther had every right to share her own experience.
He also recalled an alleged incident involving Destiny and a makeup artist several years ago.
In a post he shared, he said:
“I heard that one Nollywood actress called Destiny went to Queen Esther’s DM to threaten her with a lawsuit because Queen Esther shared her experience working with her on set.
“Queen Esther has the right to share her own experience with Destiny or any other actor. I am speaking up because, five years ago on set, Destiny slapped a makeup artist, and I know how we managed that situation then.
“She always embarrassed her PA back then. Since I started speaking up for crew members, their behaviour has changed.
“What I will not tolerate is Destiny threatening a crew member with a lawsuit in her DM. I remember vividly that last week, Onyeze Production made some huge allegations about you on a podcast in Enugu.
“You didn’t go to his DM to intimidate him because he’s a producer/marketer. Your power no reach there.
“Just so you know, if you take any legal action or arrest Queen Esther, I will stand with her and support her. I don’t think we should go that route.
“But if you have the strength, let’s do a small movie online. I have missed my old self.”
