Isaac Fayose says Nigerians are paying the price of poor governance

Isaac Fayose has alleged that five APC governors are secretly backing the NDC ahead of the 2027 election, claiming they have agreed to support the party financially without publicly identifying with it.

He said the governors are particularly interested in preventing Nyesom Wike from delivering the FCT and Rivers State to the APC.

Fayose also alleged that the governors offered to pay ₦200,000 to each polling agent in Rivers State and the FCT to help protect the votes. He said the governors do not want their identities disclosed because they are still members of the APC.

In a post he shared, he said:

“We now have five APC governors supporting NDC in this election. They’re not going to come out to campaign for us. They’re not going to say anything in public that will favour us. But underneath, they promised to sponsor this election.

“And their request is very simple. They don’t want Wike to win FCT and Rivers State for APC.
I told them Wike and APC is not popular in Abuja, but their game plan is to carry our ballots and announce the results that they are writing as we speak. And they said, yes, they know.

“What they want is, they don’t want him to be able to write those results. So they are offering all our polling agents in Rivers State and FCT ₦200,000 per polling unit. If you can stand together against r!gg!ng, they are willing to give you ₦200,000 each.

“They don’t want their names to be in public because they are members of APC. They don’t want Wike to r!g FCT and Rivers State as planned. So they are willing to take care of our bills as the people to take those two places back.

“My question to you is: Are you ready? Even though, in the meeting before I left, I told them I pray God can do something so that there won’t be an election because it is so obvious that they are planning to r!g and install Tinubu on us.

They said they still want him to come back, and I said, ‘No, I don’t want him to come back. They said it’s Wike they don’t want. So, my people, are you ready to join.?”
