Businesswoman and former First Bank chairman, Dr. Ibukun Awosika, has spoken about relationships where a woman is financially stronger than the man she wants to marry.
Speaking on Morayo Afolabi-Brown’s show, Awosika said a woman in that situation needs to look beyond money and pay attention to the man’s character and nature.
She said:
“When you want to marry a guy that you know naturally you are going to be financially stronger than, you have to be sure the man is strong enough in his character and his nature to handle it.”
Awosika believes the difference in income is not the only thing to consider when two people are planning to build a life together. She pointed to the importance of knowing whether the man can genuinely handle a relationship where his partner may earn more than he does.
