Social media personality Blessing CEO has denied authorising anyone to raise money on her behalf following the reported de.ath of her second son.
Actress Doris Ogala said she spoke with Blessing on the phone after a woman appeared in a video asking people to donate money for the family.
According to Ogala, the woman claimed that N20 million was needed, along with another N36 million, bringing the total amount being requested to N56 million.
Blessing, however, said she knew nothing about the fundraising and had not sent anyone to collect money for her.
“No, I’m not aware of that. No, no, no, no, I didn’t,” she said when asked if she had authorised anyone to solicit funds.
She also said she had not given anyone permission to announce her son’s de.ath.
“I didn’t give anybody consent and according to the phone passing of my son, I think I’m in the best position to break that news, not an entire stranger,” she said.
Following the conversation, Ogala advised anyone who had already sent money to the woman to ask for a refund, stressing that Blessing had not authorised the appeal.
Ogala also said Blessing was nearing the end of her bail process, while making it clear that the N56 million fundraising appeal did not come from her.
