Charles Inojie has recounted what it was like working with the late Sam Loco, describing him as an actor whose intelligence and ability to remember lines stood out even among his colleagues.
Inojie recalled that Sam Loco did not need to spend much time rehearsing with another actor before getting into a scene. According to him, the veteran could read through a scene with someone just once and still remember everything when the cameras started rolling.
Speaking in an interview, he said:
“Sam Loco was the most intelligent Nollywood actor that ever lived. He had an active subconscious mind that he’s capable of hearing what one is saying from a far distance. If you have a scene to play with him, he would only read with you once. He would tell you to go and rehearse your own lines. And when you miss your lines during acting, he would remind you about your lines.🫢🙆 Sam Loco was from another planet, and it’s really unfortunat£ that he passed away without being given a national honor.”💔
Inojie also recalled how Sam Loco could keep track of a scene so well that even when another actor forgot a line, he could step in and remind them.
He believes that was part of what made Sam Loco such a memorable actor. He also expressed regret that the veteran passed away without receiving a national honour.
