Singer Sexy Steel says he has never smoked or taken alcohol and has always stayed away from both.
He said he left his wealthy father to make his own way and eventually met Bred, who introduced him to Davido. According to Sexy Steel, when he met Davido, the singer was working on Dami Duro, and the beat was originally meant for him.
He also recalled turning down a Guinness brand ambassador deal worth N17 million about 20 years ago because it involved promoting and drinking alcohol.
Speaking in an interview, he said:
“I’ve never taken alcohol all my life, I have never smoked all my life, I left my rich dad to hustle & I met Bred & he took me to meet Davido, when I went to meet Davido he was recording Dami Duro, the beats Davido made for Dami Duro was meant for me, He even said it on Carterefe livestream too, I rejected 17M naira 20years ago when I was offered to be a brand ambassador for guiness & drink Alcohol but I refused”.
