Singer Mr Eazi has revealed that he did not own a Patek Philippe watch when he released his popular song, ‘Patek’.
According to the singer and entrepreneur, he was putting his money into investments at the time rather than spending it on luxury items.
He said:
“At the time I sang ‘Patek,’ I was investing all my money and didn’t own a single Patek. Don’t trust artistes”.
The comment adds an interesting twist to the song, which centres on the luxury watch brand. While the lyrics may have suggested a certain lifestyle, Mr Eazi said his reality at the time was quite different.
He was focused on investing his earnings, even as ‘Patek’ became one of the songs associated with his name.
