Jarvis has jokingly threatened to take legal action against Peller months after their marriage, as the couple exchanged words about marriage and their Muslim backgrounds.
During the conversation, Jarvis warned that she would take the matter to court if things continued in the same direction.
During a livestream, Jarvis said:
“I go sue am. How many months in marriage? E don dey talk another thing.
“I’ve Muslim background, he too has muslim background. If I don’t sue you, don’t let me bend. You will sleep in prison.”
Peller, while responding, said his Muslim faith allows him to marry more than one wife.
Peller replied:
“I’m a Muslim and I can marry four wives.”
Jarvis then responded that Muslim women could also have multiple husbands, though she noted that this is not accepted in the current generation.
Jarvis responded:
“Me too, as a Muslim girl, I can marry up to 10. Not in this generation of Muslim girls.”
Peller and Jarvis began their marriage journey in June 2026 when Peller completed the traditional marriage rites with Jarvis’ family in Benin City. They later had their civil wedding on July 29 before their white wedding in August 2026.
