Reality TV star, Mercy Eke has found herself questioning whether being famous now comes with a different price tag.
The reality TV star was surprised after noticing that the price of something she regularly buys had suddenly gone up by 100%. What made the situation more interesting for her was the response she got when she questioned the new price.
Mercy said she could not understand how an item she buys regularly could suddenly cost twice as much. To her, it felt like the increase was connected to the fact that she is now a known face.
She expressed her frustration in a post on her page, writing:
“Seems like fame comes with automatic price increment cause I don’t understand how something i buy on a regular basic automatically had 100% increment and she has the audacity to say NA YOU NAH! Biko, who i be?”.
For Mercy, the whole situation simply left her wondering why something she has always bought at a certain price would suddenly become twice as expensive because of fame.
