Popular content creator Adebayo Ridwan, better known as Bae U, has invited billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote to appear on his YouTube show, ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’, and the billionaire has agreed.
Bae U made the invitation during an encounter with Dangote on Monday, explaining that he wanted to bring the industrialist to a platform that appeals more to younger audiences.
BaeU asked:
“You don’t have to stand; sit down, it’s fine. Most of the interviews we see you in are on platforms that my generation doesn’t watch. I think it’s high time we had the man with the biggest refinery on the biggest show on YouTube. Out of curiosity, when do you think we can have you on the show, sir?”.
Dangote welcomed the idea, saying older generations needed to spend more time engaging with young people and sharing their experiences.
Dangote said:
“Honestly, the future that we have is actually you, the youth. We, our own generation, really, we have not really done very well for Nigeria and also for Africa. That’s the truth”.
He added that conversations with younger Nigerians could help pass on lessons from his generation’s experiences.
“So we need to sit down with some of you and discuss our own experience with you. So really, you are right. Going forward, this sort of audience is the audience that we, somebody like me, should actually face,” he added.
When Bae U asked when viewers could expect him on the show, Dangote gave a brief response, saying:
“We will come.”
