Isaac Fayose has raised concerns about the possibility of artificial intelligence being used to manipulate Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, claiming that more than 50 million AI-generated voters could be involved.
According to Fayose, the alleged number of artificial voters could be enough to overshadow votes cast by real Nigerians, leaving many voters wondering whether their participation would actually make a difference.
He warned that Nigerians could turn out in large numbers to vote, only for their votes to have little or no impact if the alleged AI-generated votes were allowed to influence the final results.
Fayose said:
“As it stands, they have over 50 million AI generated voters that’ll compete with human votes at the 2027 elections.
“You’ll vote and vote but it won’t reflect cos AI votes will surpass everyone’s votes. INEC Chairman must go protest loading”.
