Anambra State man, Onyeachonam Chinwuba has doused his wife with acid after she asked for a divorce.
According to Anambra State’s Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ndidi Mezue, the victim had sought divorce, accusing her husband of living a questionable life. They both visited the Ministry yesterday and on Tuesday where their differences were thought to have been resolved.
But shortly after leaving the Ministry yesterday, the husband reached for a bottle containing acid and poured it on Anurika, his wife. It immediately left her with burns on her face and body.
She was later rushed to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, while her husband was arrested.
