The abducted chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Abia State, Chief Donatus Nwankpa has regained his freedom.
Nwankpa was reportedly kidnapped together with one of his aides on Monday night on his way to Aba.
His abductors later released his aide who sustained some injuries. His party men had pleaded with his abductors to also release him unconditionally, saying he is a good man that is loved by all.
The Publicity Secretary of the Party in the state, Mr. Benedict Godson has now confirmed he was released last night.
