Meet The Grandmother Who Is Constantly Mistaken For Her Son’s GIRLFRIEND

A glamorous grandmother with remarkably youthful looks has claimed she is regularly mistaken for her 24-year-old son’s girlfriend.

At just 42, housewife Lisa Fox, from Whitley Bay, Newcastle upon Tyne, could easily pass for a woman 20 years her junior despite welcoming her first grandchild eight weeks ago.

The mother-of-three doesn’t look much older than her 18-year-old daughter, which she puts down to regular gym sessions and body combat classes.

Lisa – whose children are aged 24, 18 and 12 – insists she doesn’t use any ‘fancy creams’ in her skincare regime apart from Oil of Olay, and credits her youthful looks to ‘hot water and lemon and a good helping of red wine’, she told MailOnline.

Last week, soap star Kym Marsh announced that she had become a grandmother at the age of 42 – and while Lisa’s friends presumed she would hate becoming a granny, she actually felt the ‘complete opposite’.

Lisa said: ‘When I found out I was becoming a grandmother I felt a lot of people around me thought I would see it in a negative way, a misconception that I would feel I was getting old.

‘But it was the completely opposite, having a baby in the family is just such a joy, it in no way made me feel as if I was getting old.

‘If anything being younger is an advantage and means I have more time to spend with Archie. Also that I can run around and do a lot more activities with him.’

Lisa had her first son, James, at 18 and daughter Hollie at 25, before her youngest son Jack, 12, came along in 2007 – and in November last year, James, 24, and his partner welcomed baby Archie into the world.
