A teenager battling a rare form of cancer has died just days after fulfilling her final wish of speaking to her idol Beyoncé on FaceTime . The pregnant singer surprised Ebony Banks with a video call on Wednesday after the schoolgirl’s friends started a social media campaign.
Pals bombarded Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #EBOBMEETSBEYONCE in the hope of grabbing the Grammy-award winner’s attention.
Just four days after fulfilling her final wish, the youngster passed away on Sunday. A staff member of MD Anderson Cancer Center, where Ebony had been treated, confirmed the sad news.
