A talented teenage kickboxer has died two days after collapsing during a national title fight competition. Scott Marsden, 14, was left in a critical condition in hospital after requiring urgent medical attention during an English title fight in Leeds on Saturday – but died yesterday.
Before he lost his battle for life at Leeds General Infirmary, police said yesterday his death was not being treated as suspicious – and it would not be a police matter.
Numerous tributes to Scott – a champion kickboxer – are being posted online today as news of his tragic death spread on social media.
Close friend Joe Hughes posted in the early hours this morning: “The last few days have just not been real and there is no combination of words that can describe my feelings. So sad!
