The National Universities Commission, NUC, yesterday, awarded a certificate of recognition for the establishment of the Borno State University, Maiduguri.
Executive Secretary of the commission, Professor Abubakar Rasheed, who issued the certificate to Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, lauded the giant strides of the state government in the area of education, noting that after the submission of evaluation report by the technical team, NUC was satisfied with the quality of physical infrastructure and manpower required for the take-off of the university.
