LASU Sacks 14 Workers Over Fake WAEC, Stealing

    The authorities of the Lagos State University, LASU, has dismissed 13 of its workers for using fake West African Examination Council, WAEC, results to gain employment into the institution and for stealing diesel oil.

    The names of the dismissed staff were released by the LASU Centre for Information, Press and Public Rleations, CIPPR after the management of the school approved the dismissal of the staff.

    The LASU Governing Council at its 112th Statutory Meeting held on Thursday, 20th October, 2016, after deliberations, approved the recommendations of the Junior Staff Disciplinary Committee for the workers to be sacked.

    Nine of the staff were sacked for falsification of their WAEC results used in getting employment into the institution.

    One of the staff, Samuel Ogunwale was dismissed for fraudulently collecting of N123,950 from a student.

    Two other junior staff, Olatunji Olasunkanmi and Okunsanya Olashile were dismissed for stealing
    200 litres of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) each.

    Another staff, Matti Jemilat Adebisi was dismissed for abandonment of duty.
