Amazing video footage has captured the moment a deaf three-month-old baby grins from ear to ear as she hears her mum’s voice for the very first time.
With wide-eyed amazement and a huge smile, Annabelle Lawrence confirmed she recognised noises for the first time.
Born profoundly deaf , Annabelle received two hearing aids on Wednesday, July 20 and when they were turned on she couldn’t hide her excitement.
As mum Sarah Jo asks her if she can hear, the three-month-old breaks out in a massive gummy smile.
Sarah Jo said: “Everything has been so overwhelming.
“To be able to tell Annabelle that I love her and know she hears me is very emotional.
“You could see how excited she was to be able to hear.
