England footballer and Sunderland star, Adam Johnson today
pleaded guilty to s3xual activity with a child. He also admitted a charge of
grooming, but denied two other charges of having s3x with an underage girl.
The 28-year-old Sunderland winger arrived at Bradford Crown
Court this morning with his girlfriend Stacey Flounders for the start of his
trial. Johnson had initially denied all four charges against him, but at the
last minute he changed his plea to guilty on two of the counts.

Miss Flounders, 26, has stood by Johnson since the claims
first emerged. The couple had a baby together just a few weeks before his
initial arrest.

The s3xual offences are alleged to have taken place at two
locations in County Durham on one night in January according to court papers.

Johnson began his career at Middlesbrough before moving to
Manchester City and then transferred to Sunderland for £10million in 2012. He
has represented England 12 times between 2010 and 2012, scoring two goals.
