Sad! Neighbour Stabs 6 Months Pregnant Woman To Death Over N1000

A woman nursing a six-month pregnancy simply identified as
Mrs. Ikhuoria, has been allegedly stabbed to death by her neighbour over
N1,000. It was gathered that the deceased had on Monday gone to demand from her
neighbour, identified as Mama Emmanuel, to pay back the N1,000 loaned to her, when
an argument ensued between them.

The owner of the house, Mrs. M. Okpojie, told journalists
that she was working at the backyard when she heard someone shouting. She said
when she arrived at the scene of the incident, she found the deceased drenched
in her blood and had to rush her to a private hospital where doctors referred
them to another hospital.

“I was working at the back of the house when I heard
shouting. I had to rush her to a private hospital when I saw the way she was
bleeding. Doctors said it was an internal bleeding and I should take her away.
So, I called the husband to come.”

Commenting on the incident, the husband of the deceased,
Ediale Ikhuoria, said the wife died over the N1,000 she loaned their neighbour.

“My wife loaned her N1,000 and when she demanded for the
money, Mama Emma stabbed her. She killed my wife. My wife was six months
pregnant. She died on Monday morning,” he said.

Edo Police Command spokesman, DSP Abiodun Osifo, who could
not confirm the incident, said he was yet to be briefed by the relevant Police
Division.
