EFCC Interrogates Abba Moro Over Death Of NIS Applicants, N520m Compulsory Levy

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today interrogated
the immediate past minister of Interior, Abba Moro, over the March 2014
recruitment exercise that took place in the Nigerian Immigration Service.
The recruitment however led to the death of about 20
applicants in various recruitment centres across the country. The applicants
were also made to pay a compulsory levy which at the end pf the day accumulated to N520 million.
Several Nigerians however called for the resignation of the
then minister, Abba Moro, but he turned deaf ears to them. It will be recalled
that among the people Nigerians mentioned for probing online shortly after Mr
Buhari got into power, was Abba Moro. So many people have still not forgotten
    the tragedy.
