The Senate has said the former governor of Rivers State,
Rotimi Amaechi will no longer be screened today as scheduled, but tomorrow. Dino
Melaye, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, revealed.
He said the APC caucus in the Senate has decided to back the
nomination of Amaechi while insinuating that there are moves to also lobby the
PDP lawmakers to support Amaechi. Amaechi’s screening had been postponed twice.
He has been a source of division among senators on account of petitions against
him.
