Aftermath Of Bomb Explosion! Kaduna State Govt. Bans Hawking & Street Begging

    The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has banned
    hawking and begging activities in the State following today’s bomb explosion
    attack by the dreadful Boko Haram sect. The bans are to enhance public security
    in the state as 25 people have been confirmed to have died.
    “All beggars and hawkers are to stay off the streets until
    further notice. Any beggar or hawker found on the streets will be arrested until
    these measures are relaxed,” Samuel Aruwan, the spokesperson to the Governor,
    said in a statement.
    The governor also reiterated that the ban on motorcycle
    taxis (achaba) remains in force, and that the law would be strictly enforced in
    this regard.
    He commended the people of the state for promptly embracing
    the crucial necessity of watchful vigilance and attention to security. He urged
    residents of the state to report all suspicious persons and movements to
    security agencies.
