The divisional police officer of Onikan police station, Mr
Adekunle Awe, who a 31-year old mother of two, Idowu Akinwumi accused of raping
her, has been detained. The police officer who was detained alongside two other
police inspectors from his zone, said the devil brought the suspect to put him in trouble and
he prays the Lord helps him secure his job.

Meanwhile the Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohammed
Abubakar and Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola have declared their interest in the case.

being detained at the State Police Command headquarters, Ikeja.
