The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of
God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, speaking at the president’s daughter’s
wedding in church yesterday, said marriages contracted on social media may not
last. In his words; “If you marry the modern way like on Facebook, you may
likely divorce the modern way. Marry traditionally and involve God,” he said.

He also emphasized that the success or failure of a marriage
rests on the husband who is the head of the family and therefore advised the
groom to ensure that the marriage succeeds. He urged him not to criticise his
wife but correct her in love.
