The Deputy Editor of Saturday Newswatch, Mr Toyin Obadina
who was shot twice in the stomach on the 31st of January 2014 and
later died at a Lagos hospital will be buried today in
his home in Ikorodu. However, the CEO of Newswatch Newspaper, Jimoh Ibrahim has
announced a full scholarship for his three children who are twelve, nine and five up till university level and also
promised to empower their mother. He will also be bearing the cost of his burial
today.
According to the CEO, he felt obliged to ensure that the
family of Obadina is not left in the cold while thanking all well-meaning
Nigerians for their concern and condolences since the tragic incident hit the
organization. May the soul of the departed continue to rest in peace.
