Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo is out of his country’s
international fixtures after he suffered a ghastly injury to the face
which left him with no vision in both eyes during Real Madrid’s Liga BBVA fixture against Levante.
Coach Jose Mourinho said that his ex-Manchester United ace ‘couldn’t go on because he had lost vision in both eyes’.
Although he wasn’t going to play, he arrived camp with the national
squad, wearing a leather jacket and blue Nike cap but – presumably for
the cameras – chose to hook his sunglasses into his T-shirt.
